Instant Gratification

Instant Gratification. We all like it. We post to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and so on selfies, pictures of the food we cook, pictures of our kids, new vehicles, fancy house, etc...all for gratification.

Now none of this is wrong, I do it all of the time; not the point of this quick blog.

I've always said (or at least thought to myself), that if you want some Instant Gratification, become a mechanical designer or engineer. I always get this giddy feeling when clients send pictures of work that I have done for them in REAL LIFE FORM. I get this instant feeling of satisfaction knowing that I created the CAD file, the fabrication drawing for that part, for that assembly to be created in REAL LIFE. It's even better knowing that it's a proven design and all is working well.

Does anyone else get this feeling or is it just me?
